STUBBY & THE AMERICAN LEGION
Following World War I, Sgt. Stubby became an official member of Eddy-Glover American Legion Post 6 in Connecticut, making him the only known canine ever admitted into The American Legion.
He marched in the organization’s first National Convention in 1919 and remained a familiar presence at Legion events for years, becoming a lasting symbol of comradeship, service, and the enduring bond shared by those who served.

More than a century after serving alongside American troops in World War I, Stubby’s story is once again inspiring a new generation.
